About

Hi – thank you for visiting my blog.

Currently I study Health & Medical Journalism at the University of Georgia. I’ll complete this M.A. degree in May 2013.

I’ve been a Google Fellow through the Online News Association Student Newsroom, a Fulbright scholar in a one-week fellowship in Berlin, and a TEDMED Frontline Scholar. I’ve read newspapers since I learned to read. I attended Elon University as a Communication Fellow and on a partial NCAA track-and-field scholarship. When I injured my knees, I headed back home to finish my undergraduate journalism studies at the University of Georgia. In May 2012, I successfully defended my thesis in Conservation Ecology (M.S.) at the Odum School of Ecology at UGA.

If you’d like, you can read my published writing over on my online portfolio site.

There you will find ways to get in touch with me. But let’s go ahead and talk on Twitter.

To the good fight!
